The KERMIT Project stands for Kidney Disease Sweat sensor patch for Early diagnosis and Remote MonIToring. It is funded by the EU to develop a simplified and accessible platform for the detection of kidney disease biomartkers from sweat. The project aims at integrating different flagship technologies including flexible biosensors, microfluidics, CMOS microchips and wireless communications into a low-cost, simple-to-use, disposable on-skin patch.
