Participation at the EIC Pathfinder Portfolio Meeting in Brussels

From June 20 to 21, 2024, Pietro Salvo (CNR), Tommaso Lomonaco (University of Pisa), and Daniel Corzo (Silicon Austria Labs) represented the KERMIT Project at the kick-off meeting for the European Innovation Council (EIC) Pathfinder portfolio, titled “Towards the Healthcare Continuum: Technologies to Support a Radical Shift from Episodic to Continuous Healthcare.” Held at the EISMEA headquarters in Brussels, the meeting marked the beginning of a collaborative effort to drive innovation in healthcare technologies across Europe.

During the meeting, Daniel, Pietro, and Tommaso presented the KERMIT Project, emphasizing its role in advancing non-invasive diagnostics and continuous monitoring. Their presentation was part of a broader introduction of the projects within the portfolio, each focused on facilitating the shift from episodic to continuous healthcare. The KERMIT team’s contributions sparked meaningful discussions on potential synergies and collaborative opportunities with other projects in the portfolio.

The two-day event featured presentations, group discussions, and strategic planning sessions aimed at shaping the future of healthcare innovation in Europe. The KERMIT team actively participated in these sessions, where they contributed to discussions on drafting a strategic plan for the portfolio. These discussions laid the groundwork for the next steps in aligning the portfolio’s diverse projects under a unified strategic vision.

Their guidance was instrumental in facilitating productive discussions and ensuring that the meeting objectives were met.
